Nadine West Review

I love subscription boxes and I love clothes, so obviously when I heard about Nadine West, I had to try it. It’s very similar to Stitch Fix, but much cheaper.

When you sign up for Nadine West, you fill out a style profile. They give you photos of each item of clothing in different styles and you pick which ones you like.

You also choose how often you want to receive each type of item and what colors and patterns you like and don’t like.

You tell them how much you usually spend on clothing and jewelry, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the items you receive will be in that range. I put that I usually spend less than $20 on jewelry and I just received a necklace priced at $29.99.

You can choose to receive shipments every two weeks or every four weeks.

Just like Stitch Fix, anything you don’t want to keep, you send back and don’t get charged for.

The shipping fee for Nadine West is $9.78, which gets put towards anything you decide to keep. However, you don’t get that money back if you choose not to keep anything.

Here’s what I got in this shipment:

Chloe – $11.49

This shirt looks cute in this picture, but it’s extremely thin and the material feels kind of weird. I don’t really like how it hangs on me.

Verdict: Sending it back.

She’s Got Legs – $14.99

These shorts are super cute. You can’t really see the detail in this picture, so here’s another one:

One thing I love about subscription boxes is that you get things you never would have tried otherwise. These shorts are super high-waisted for me. I’ve never liked high-waisted bottoms, but I think I look really good in these.

Verdict: Keeping them.

Arawak – $13.49

This shirt is 100% something I would never pick up at the store. The color doesn’t stand out to me and I tend not to like looser fitting garments like this. Turns out it’s super cute, though! I think it looks much more adult than most of my wardrobe. I’m trying to slowly change the type of clothes I have so I can dress like I’m closer to 30 than 20 (which I am), so this shirt fits in perfectly with where I want my wardrobe to go.

Verdict: Keeping it.

Ribbon of Power – $13.99

I’m going to be real, I think these earrings are super ugly. I don’t like how clunky they look and I don’t like the hammered metal. I think these are the type of thing you have to have a certain personality to pull off and shy girl Holly cannot pull off this look.

Verdict: Sending them back.

Linked Together – $29.99

I like this necklace, but I have no idea how to wear it. I think you need something with a high neckline to make this look good, and I really don’t have much with a high neckline.

Verdict: Sending it back.

Nadine West is probably going to end up being one of my favorite subscription boxes. None of the things they sent me are things that I would choose for myself, but I ended up keeping 2/5 of the items. They don’t look like the most high-quality garments, but they’re also super cheap and it’s worth it to me to find clothes that don’t say “I never go anywhere besides the beach and Sunday brunch” so I can develop a new sense of style.

If you think Nadine West sounds cool and want to subscribe, the website is here.
